DEPUTIES ARREST NEW BLOOMFIELD MAN AFTER PURSUIT THROUGH FULTON

Richard Tripp, 27, of New Bloomfield
Narrative:
On July 24, 2018 at approximately 8:59 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was traveling through Fulton and observed an ATV operating in the 300 block of Market Street. The ATV had no working headlights or taillights.
The deputy attempted to stop the ATV and the operator fled on the ATV at a high rate of speed. The deputy pursued the ATV onto North Bluff through several intersections to the north end of Fulton. An off duty Holts Summit Police Officer assisted the deputy with placing the operator, Richard Tripp, into custody in the 200 block of Glover Street.
Tripp transported and released to the Callaway County Jail on charges of Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, FELONY Resisting Arrest – Creating a Substantial Risk of Injury or Death, Exceeding the post speed limit (25+ MPH), Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device and Operated a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Fashion. Tripp later posted a court scheduled bond of $3,000.
