DEPUTIES ARREST WANTED FUGITIVES IN FULTON AND NEAR MILLERSBURG DURING AFTERNOON PATROLS – CHARGE FILED IN SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION CONCERNING FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION OF AN ELDERLY PERSON
Arrested person information:
Paulo Cunningham, 27, of Jefferson City
Kelly Gooldy, 40, of Fulton
On June 21, 2018 at approximately 1:25 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper arrived to a residence in the 1800 block of Old Highway 40 north of Millersburg. Previously, deputies had developed information that Paulo Cunningham was a wanted fugitive by the Missouri Department of Corrections – Board of Probation and Parole for felony parole violations. A nationwide warrant had been issued for Cunningham’s arrest. The deputy and trooper eventually came into contact with Cunningham inside the residence where he was taken into custody and transported to the Callaway County Jail on NO BOND, pending transfer to Missouri Department of Corrections.
Later in the day, at 6:11 PM, deputies were in the area of 2nd Street and Westminster Avenue inside Fulton when a deputy recognized Kelly Gooldy walking along the road. Deputies were aware that Gooldy was a wanted fugitive and had four warrants for his arrest out of three counties. Of those warrants, one was for Felony Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person in Callaway County. That charge had been filed by the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney on June 4, 2018 as the result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
Gooldy was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains incarcerated on a court set bond of $11,000.00.
